The spoken word is a powerful tool. It can create new worlds to explore, evoke laughter from a phrase, and it can be spiritually fulfilling.

Each week, Cherry Hills Community Church of Highlands Ranch, Colorado provides the words to fill the heart with joy and heal the hearts full of sadness.

In order to create an atmosphere conducive to their work, Cherry Hills contacted Flyhouse to install blackout shades and light block channels to surround the 24 window bays within the worship hall. The previous shades were no longer efficient and they wanted to be able to do a full blackout and have control over all of their lighting elements.

To achieve this goal, Flyhouse installed a variable speed motorized curtain system for 24 window bays. Each bay has two motorized shades built into one assembly allowing them to move at up to two ft/sec. Each bay includes a blackout shade and a room darkening shade; a total of 48 variable speed shades.

The largest shade was 23 W X 16 H ft which meant that Flyhouse had to assemble all parts used for the project on-site at Cherry Hills.

The control system for window shades was customized to give the user a fully programmable and visual interface of the shade system.

After the installation was complete, Cherry Hills is now secure in knowing the control system also has remote access capability allowing Flyhouse to troubleshoot and upgrade the system without having to be on location.
