In conjunction with event producers Sound Investment, Ltd., Chicago Flyhouse was chartered to design, build, and oversee the installation of motorized LED panels for Nuance Communications, Inc.’s 2006 Conversations User Conference at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida.

The speech industry’s premier user conference, the CUC is Nuance’s annual showcase, hosting more than 800 customers, partners, and industry leaders. With so much on the line, it was imperative to Nuance that the presentation be of the highest calibre, utilizing the cutting edge technology that their company represents.

With short notice, Flyhouse designed a variable-speed, fully programmable system controlling four custom-built LED panels for the conference’s main staging area. Built in Chicago by Flyhouse, the completed rigging system was shipped to Florida where Flyhouse staff oversaw the smooth and safe installation of the rigging.

The computer automated, variable-speed, and flexible tracking settings allowed a wide variety of configurations for the screens, creating a dynamic presentation for the various media presentations, and moving smoothly and quickly out of the way to allow dramatric entrances for keynote speakers.

Nuance’s 2006 Conversations User Conference conference shattered previous attendance records, and was cited by Nuance’s Vice President of Worldwide Marketing as “one of the most successful events in Nuance history.”
