Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry has a new name—and Flyhouse played a role in the reveal. The new Kenneth C. Griffin Museum of Science and Industry acknowledges Griffin’s unprecedented $125 million donation to the institution. Flyhouse was asked to be on hand last weekend, and help capture the momentous occasion.
Our crew installed two custom printed, temporary fabric banners to conceal new, more permanent display banners flanking the entrance which feature the venue’s new name. Each temporary banner connected to a simple motorized system. Right on cue during the official naming ceremony, the Flyhouse team onsite was able to quickly deploy the system. The temporary fabric dropped away and revealed the building’s new name exactly as planned. That’s how we fly!
We look forward to seeing future exhibits made possible by such a huge investment in this historic museum, originally built in 1893 for the World's Columbian Exposition. In the meantime, check out the big reveal in action!
