Responsibilities may include
- Create preliminary design drawings for conceptual analysis alongside the rest of our project management team.
- Work with the project management team, on design specifications, documentation, and material lists to create project-specific AutoCAD drawings as required.
- Work with our outside engineering team to have necessary design drawings engineered for manufacturing and installation.
- Provide other stakeholders with product spec information on components used as part of project-specific design drawings.
- Multitask and manage several project design needs at a time.
- Revise drawings as needed based on findings during manufacturing and installation.
- Perform project site visits and attend project-specific meetings at various times. The role will require you to interface and communicate with general contractors, architects, theater consultants, facility staff, clients, and any other stakeholders that may be involved in a project.
- Facilitate the preparation of project-specific submittals and preconstruction documents as required.
- Facilitate material procurement and tracking for projects as required.
- Work with the installation team to provide drawings for installation work.
- Work with our operations and project management teams on project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Work in-house with our mechanical and automation departments to fabricate, plan, and pack projects as needed.
- Create various final project documents for owner handover including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties etc.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to travel on an airplane and work both internationally and domestically.
- Must be willing and able to travel and work on cruise ship vessels when required.
- Must be able to operate out of our Chicago, IL headquarters primarily. There will be work in other locations at times.
- May need to work off hours to accommodate client’s needs.
