Rappelling off the top of the clock tower at the end of Chicago’s Navy Pier isn’t something to be taken lightly and Chicago Sport and Social Club (CSSC) agreed.

When the City Chase Challenge returned to Chicago, part of the challenge would require participants to rappel off the clock tower at Navy Pier. Chicago Flyhouse was contracted by CSSC to inspect the rigging, ensuring that everything was installed correctly and the equipment was safe for all users.

After a thorough inspection of equipment and overseeing of the rigging installation, Flyhouse remained on-site to ensure that each participant was clipped properly and safely to the system prior to rappelling.

Approximately 400 participants had to be trained and instructed by Flyhouse to safely navigate the decent from the clock tower’s edge. Each participant, most of who had never rappelled before, had to safely travel a distance of approximately 80 feet!

When safety came first, CSSC knew they could depend on Flyhouse for their peace of mind.

As a result, a successful, thrilling, and safe experience was provided to all.
