Flyhouse specializes in the unusual requests of the rigging world, turning impossible problems into extraordinary solutions. Crew member Danny has been battling his own impossible problem since January 2021. A series of catastrophic health issues (the cause is still unknown) left him fighting for his life. After weeks in the hospital with a team of medical experts, Danny was finally stable enough to go home. But it took months of hard work, both emotionally and physically, to fight his way back. Danny credits support from his wife, trips to the gym swimming pool, and long walks pushing a shopping cart around big box stores with helping him regain strength. Eventually he felt well enough to visit Flyhouse and see the new shop (initially without his wife’s permission).
"I decided one day to make my goal, I need to get back to what I love doing … I started to miss the camaraderie I had, the friendships I’d built over years."
Today, 18 months after he first landed in the hospital, Danny has officially rejoined his place on the Flyhouse crew 3 days a week. And he couldn’t be happier to once again work alongside friends who have become family.
"Who would want to go back to work? But for me, I missed this so much ... I don’t want to be nowhere else!"
