Responsibilities may include
- Lead crews of technicians for small and large installation projects
- Installation of:
- Counterweight Systems
- Custom Motorized Rigging
- Automated Drapery
- Acoustic absorption for arenas
- Unusual Rigging Solutions
- Work with our project management team to ensure a successful and safe installation that meets project timeline and goals.
- Work with our custom fabrication shop to ensure all components can arrive and be installed in an efficient manner.
- Work with our Automation department to ensure that all motorized and custom electronics are prepared and installed per design.
- Multitask and manage several project installation needs at one time.
- Notate drawings as needed, based on findings during installation.
- Perform project site visits and attend project-specific meetings. Interface and communicate with general contractors, architects, theater consultants, facility staff, clients, and any other stakeholders.
- Facilitate the preparation of project-specific packlists, in conjunction with the project manager.
- Facilitate material procurement and tracking for projects as required.
- Work in-house with our mechanical and automation departments to fabricate, plan, and pack projects as needed.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to travel on an airplane and work both internationally and domestically.
- Must be willing and able to travel and work on cruise ship vessels when required.
- Must be able to operate out of our Chicago, IL headquarters primarily, and other locations as needed.
- May need to work off hours to accommodate client’s needs.
