We’ve got a great crew, if we say so ourselves, but we’re especially thrilled to brag about the newest member of the Flyhouse team.
M is a rising high school senior who is joining us through Chicago Public School's Summer Internship Program. She started the summer without any rigging experience but hopes to study mechanical engineering in the future.
Our intern will be with Flyhouse for a total of 120 hours this summer, over 5 weeks. She is working with and learning from several Flyhouse crew members in both the M-Shop and E-Shop. One summer highlight for M—so far—is when she got to FLY as part of zip lift testing for a cruise ship. This week, her goal is to weld an object that she can take home. For M's last week, we have a series of fun field trips planned at Flyhouse client venues around Chicago, for a firsthand look at some of our past work!
At the end of her internship, M aspires to receive an OSHA 10 certificate to kickstart her future career even further. Fly high, M!
