Ford Center Services Provided:
- Acoustic Baffles
- Temporary Access Solutions
The Ford Center is a multi-use indoor arena in downtown Evansville, Indiana. With a seating capacity of 11,000, the arena is primarily used for minor league hockey and basketball along with hosting a number of concerts and events including Elton John, Bob Seger and Cirque de Solei.
As part of the new construction of the arena, Flyhouse provided the acoustical baffle installation throughout the arena ceiling.
Following a typical construction schedule, the installation of acoustical materials along the ceiling was a routine project for Flyhouse. The 57,500 square feet of horizontal baffles and 14,800 square feet of vertical baffles from CMA (Creative Materials for Acoustics) were 2” thick with a 1.5# density and wrapped in sailcloth.
