Vacation season means Safer Venue season for Flyhouse.
We’re on the road, helping local and not so local theaters with inspections and repairs. We provide inspections, training, and maintenance all year-round, but summer offers many theaters a break from heavy-use and operation, particularly education-related spaces. And those breaks mean we can get to work!
This summer, we’re hitting a few new destinations—including Columbia, Missouri; Alfred, New York; Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; Freeport, Illinois; Appleton, Wisconsin; Broward County, FL; and El Paso, Texas. And we’re thrilled to be back onsite, providing routine inspections and maintenance for plenty of familiar venues. These visits help prevent expensive, emergency repair for our clients.
Last week was a perfect example: our team visited a venue for an isolated repair. While onsite, we discovered a more aging system that needed a wire rope replacement on all of its motorized hoists. We were able to respond and schedule a crew to revisit within two weeks to replace all of their wire rope on the remaining motorized hoists linesets—well before the venue returns to full use at the end of the summer.
Of course we're proud of Flyhouse's history of providing unique solutions to complex projects for some of the most well-known venues around the world. But we find our work on smaller, well-loved venues with our SaferVenue program just as challenging, and often even more rewarding. That’s how we fly!
